Hotckiss H35
   The Hotchkiss H35 was a French 'cavalry tank' that was designed to be a slow but sturdy vehicle for its size. It was designed to keep pace with infantry, rather than engage in swirling tank battles. Armed with a 37mm gun, it was capable of knocking out enemy panzers with ease.

Somua S35
   French tanks were designed with specific roles in mind and the Somua S35 was designed to exploit gaps in the enemy's line rather than hold the line against waves of enemies. It had good firepower, armour protection, and mobility, making it one of the best tanks of its time.

B1
   Another very specialised tank, the B1 was designed for offensive operations where its length would allow it to easily cross enemy trench lines to where its 75mm gun could smash enemy defences. The tank earned a reputation as an invincible vehicle with reliable armour in battles against German troops from May through June 1940.
