World of Tanks
Designed in response to the growing threat of Soviet heavy tanks like the IS-3, the Conqueror was designed around the idea of providing long range fire support to more mobile and lighter tanks, such as the Centurion. Built around the massive 120mm gun, the Conqueror was easily capable of engaging and destroying any of these post-war Soviet tank designs at long range.
The Conqueror also featured some of the heaviest armour possible at the time, measuring as much as 178mm (7 inches) in places, allowing the tank to engage in front on firefights with a measure of impunity. The side armour was much more reasonable however requiring supporting Centurion tanks to keep the swarms of enemy medium tanks at bay, lest the Conquerors find themselves in a sticky situation.
Protected Ammo
The 120mm rounds were two-part with the loader having to load not only the projectile but also a separate charge. This reduced the speed at which they could fire the gun, but it did result in the tank having a safer ammunition stowage system should the tank be penetrated by enemy fire.
Commanders Cupola
The Conqueror featured an innovative commander's cupola. It could be rotated, allowing the commander to line up enemy targets, verify the range, and then hand over to the gunner, who would find the target ready to engage.
